Dr. Ana Cragnolino

As a psychologist, I use empirically-validated interventions to assist my clients. I offer tailored comprehensive evaluations which assist in clarifying diagnostic questions, identifying strengths and challenges, and helping in treatment planning.

I also provide specialized psychotherapy services. Through therapy sessions, I  support my clients in uncovering tools and strategies that will bring greater satisfaction and balance to their lives.

I have been involved in the field of psychology and neuropsychology for over 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Swarthmore College and spent two years doing research in neuropsychology after graduating from college. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and went on to do my internship in Clinical Psychology at Harvard Medical School at McLean Hospital. I also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Harvard Medical School. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and I have been in private practice for more than 15 years.

In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, dancing, traveling, spending time with my family, reading books, and taking walks in my neighborhood.

My comprehensive testing evaluations are part of a holistic therapeutic intervention. They can open doors to understanding and support. I have experience assessing people throughout the lifespan, but my specialty is in the evaluation of older children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in assessing neurodevelopmental and learning differences, and a range of mental health presentations.

I provide therapy services for adolescents and adults. I mostly use a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach to support my clients.  This approach involves exploring core beliefs and examining and shifting thinking patterns that lead to negative self-appraisal. I work with my clients to find new ways of managing their current challenges while encouraging them to practice skills that will harness their strengths.
